“Just wanted you to know that Barney enjoyed his stay with Diana and Peter, or should I say Maddie and Coco! He has done nothing but sleep since he got home so the girls obviously kept him very busy. Thanks again for putting us in touch.  It’s lovely being able to go away knowing Barney is being so well looked after.”

Daisy dog boarding Devon“Margaret and Peter are ideal hosts and we are very happy to leave Daisy there. They are very flexible and allow her to do all the naughty things she does at home (e.g sit on the settee), they even let her sleep on the floor next to Margaret because she is used to this! Daisy was very happy after her holiday.”

Sue, Honiton, October 2014

cass“A big thank you to Devon Dog Boarding for  finding such warm and caring host families for my Border Terrier Cass. They arecasscass always so helpful and professional and always have time to help answer my many questions to find the best people to look after my dog. Cass has just got back from her ‘holiday’  and was so well looked after and made to feel at home, that I have booked her in again for her summer holiday!I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to ensure that their dog has the very best care while they are away.”

She takes them on wonderful walks, and has got to know their personalities and habits very well! They are always delighted to see her!”

Ruby and Bunny Chaffe“I have collected Ruby and Bunny from their stay with Margaret and Peter, all I can say is what a wonderful couple they are, and thank you so much for putting me in touch with them. I had updates and photos sent to me whilst I was away, and returned to find two happy and healthy dogs, who clearly enjoyed their time with them.  It goes without saying that I will definitely be requesting Margaret and Peter for all further doggy care. It is such a small price to pay for complete peace of mind.”

Sharon, Plymouth, September 2013

Duke“We would just like to thank Devon Dog Boarding in helping us find such a lovely couple such as Peter & Margaret, so that our 1 year old Golden Retriever Duke could have a holiday of his own while we were away for 4 days.  As soon as Duke entered Peter and Margaret’s house, he made himself quite at home.  They welcomed him with lots of love and attention.  Duke was so happy, that he didn’t even notice when we left. He had a wonderful time.  Peter & Margaret thoroughly read the instructions that they sent to them such as Dukes eating and play habits.  The care in matching the host family to the dogs’ home environment is the key to the undoubted success of this hosting and we would like to thank you all at DDB for your efforts in selecting hosts . Thank you DDB your a life saver!”

 Sam & Kevin, Honiton – July 2013

Bonnie and Misty“We would like to thank DDB and their hosts for taking such good care of our terriers. Their hosts Jane and Tony offered the pair a truly home from home stay, they kept to their routines and cared for them giving them plenty of exercise. They emailed photographs to us which we greatly appreciated. The care in matching the host family to the dogs’ home environment is the key to the undoubted success of this hosting and we would like to thank you all at DDB for your efforts in selecting hosts whose environment is so similar to one that our terriers are used to. We have no problem in strongly recommending DDB”

 E and J, Bideford, July 2013

Zinger and Jessie (3)“I just wanted to let you know how happy I was with my host family Susan. I wasn’t worried one bit about Jessie and Zinger whilst I was away. When I returned they were very happy and not distressed at all. I would definitely use your service again.  I could not have picked a better person. She totally understood Jessie.Thank you for finding such a fantastic host family.”

Hannah, Jessie and Zinger, Brixham,  June 2013

Bailey - dog boarding Dartmoor“Just a note to say how well Bailey was looked after by Jane and Tony this week, I don’t think he really wanted to come home!  A really great service and much better than having him in kennels for the week, thanks very much for sorting this out.”

Rachel and Bailey, Chagford, May 2013

Meg - dog boarding Exeter“We rarely go away but when we do, we want to know our dog is happy. Rachel & Sarah made this their mission in the most genuine, caring & knowledgeable way. Meg was able to explore freely at her leisure during her first visit & then returned excited with a wagging tail on ‘drop off day’. She was beautifully spoilt with attention & affection & was even allowed on the sofas for a cuddle! She had a truly wonderful weekend which meant so did we. Picking her up was a pleasure. Not only to see her again but also to chat freely with Rachel & Sarah & hear all about their time with our precious pooch. Well done Devon Dog Boarding!”

Sam & Jason, Exeter, May 2013

Rory dog boarding Plymouth

“Thank so much for putting us in touch with Susan to look after Rory when we are away. She is such a lovely person and we feel so relaxed knowing that we are leaving Rory with someone who gives him the same care and love that we do. It was apparent the moment we met Susan that she loves dogs and we feel completely confident leaving Rory with her. Rory has stayed with Susan a number of times and he always comes home a picture of health and obviously adores his time with her. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Devon Dog Boarding. ”

Annie & Colin, Ashford, April 2013

Back Camera“We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to Susan for caring for Benson, our rescue springer. Susan has a deep understanding of dogs which she applies so well to Benson. She has helped us so much with his rehabilitation and Benson always comes home much calmer after his ‘holiday’. His most recent stay with Susan was for almost a month and our trip would not have been possible without out trust in Susan and her lovely collies. Thank you to DDB for finding us a perfect host family for Benson.”

Ann, Roy and Benson, Plymouth, March 2013

Georgina and Mazzy dog boarding Exeter“We left our dog Mazzy with Georgina & Lewis and we were very happy with them and the stay. They kindly sent regular text updates which was reassuring. Mazzy clearly got loads of walks and fuss and had a nice warm place to sleep in the front room.  I think that she was rather disappointed to be coming back with us to be perfectly honest!”

Simon and Mazzy, Exeter, March 2013

“We recently went on holiday for a week and although we were really excited, the thought of leaving our puppy Doug behind was a little heartbreaking. However, thanks to Nick at Devon Dog Boarding we soon realised Doug was enjoying his holiday even more than we were! We had a few updates on what he had been up to, which really helped us relax and enjoy our holiday too. We thought Doug was well behaved when we left him, but he came back even better than before, so we would definitely use Anna’s team again, and can’t recommend them highly enough to anyone who really loves their dogs.”

Jenny and Doug, Exeter, March 2013

Piper - dog boarding Plymouth“In October we planned to get married in Italy, and everything was going along swimmingly until we suddenly realised that all of our dog sitters would be coming with us! Luckily we found DDB’s website and immediately contacted Anna to see if we could arrange for Piper to stay with someone.  Anna introduced us to Christina who was just fabulous. From the minute we met her we knew that Piper would be going on her own holiday while we were away and the only question in our minds was whether she would want to come home afterwards!  We have recommended DDB to all of our dog owning friends and will definitely call again, thank you!”

James and Katherine, Salcombe, February 2013

“I’d just like to say a big thanks to DDB for providing a great service, and to Emma, Bruce and the kids for being so kind and caring when they looked after OB this Christmas for us. When we dropped him off, he seemed to settle in really quickly, and he seemed very relaxed in their lovely home. Emma and Bruce took on board all the instructions for his care that I wanted to pass on, and we felt very confident that he seemed happy – such a relief! We had a lovely holiday, and it seems so did OB. Emma sent a couple of reassuring texts during the trip, and when we picked him up, he was as happy and relaxed as when we dropped him off – thanks to you all!”

Bel and OB, Topsham, January 2013

We were recommended Devon Dog Boarding when looking for somewhere for our Westie “Angus” to stay.  We were  immediately put at ease during our introductory visit to John and Angela’s. On our return he was so relaxed that after a little hello he returned to his basket and settled back down for a snooze whilst Angela and John told us all that they had done with him. It is with absolute confidence that we would repeat the experience telling everyone how amazingly stress free this option is. It’s home from home for him. We know that Angela and John took care of our old Angus really well – just like he was their own, and for that we cannot thank them enough.”

Deb, Paul and Angus, Exeter, January 2013

“Helen and Rosie have been great carers for our 1 year old dog Ferguson – they are our number one choice for him to stay with when we have to be away. He loves playing with their young lab and they take him for lots of long walks.  Ferguson has had some separation issues whilst he has been away from us, and Helen and Rosie have been such a fabulous support for us. They have worked hard with him, which is greatly appreciated, and lovely to know he stays somewhere where his issues are understood and he is cared for so well.  Thank you Helen and Rosie, and thank you to Anna and the Devon Dog Boarding Team – we trust you all implicitly! Ferguson looks forward to coming back to stay :)”
Lisa, Chris and Ferguson, January 2013
“We would just like to say a big thank you to you for sorting out a host family for Bella at such short notice  early in December. Lesley and Richard who looked after her were great-very friendly, and were fantastic with Bella who is a very active young Springer! She fell in love with their Springer, Biggles, and she seemed very sad when we returned to the Isle of Wight! Bella was well groomed, and clearly part of the family with lots of toys to play with and plenty of exercise every day. I can’t thank and praise them enough for making Bella feel so welcome and for being so flexible.”
Caroline, John and Bella, December 2012

“When we had to go abroad and were unable to take Clever, our Pembroke Welsh Corgi, we were initially apprehensive about leaving her. Bruce and Emma soon put our minds at rest with regular updates and the children literally made a song and dance about her! We are very grateful for their care and would be very happy to trust her to them again.”
Stephen and Marta, November 2012

“Liz and Rob have been brilliant since our dog Max started staying with them. The first time Max stayed he was only 8 months old and it was at very short notice. Liz and Rob were warm and welcoming, flexible and accommodating. They have fantastic outdoor space for the dogs to play which is fully enclosed so no opportunity to escape! Max loves being with the other dogs and now gets very excited when we arrive at the door. We have no hesitation in recommending Liz and Rob to other dog owners.”

Jane, Kentisbeare, October 2012

A very happy holiday with devon Dog Boarding“We have boarded our dog with Andrew and Debs twice now and have made future bookings. The dog just loves it, it seems like home from home for her – almost too good – she misses the company of their dogs! With the countryside, a large garden, companion dogs and such good carers we can’t recommend them more highly”

A & I, North Devon, October 2012

Taz loves Devon Dog Boarding“What a lovely kind lady Sarah is nothing is too much trouble. – she even turned a blind eye to Taz’s incontinence blip on his initial visit! A five star foster home for sure, leave your dog in her care with confidence. Taz would’ve have been happy to have stayed much longer. Thank you Devon Dog Boarding!”

Angela, Exeter, October 2012

Springer spaniels on holiday with Devon Dog Boarding“We have two springer spaniels with very different needs. After filling in the initial forms, Anna got back to us quickly with a host home suggestion in a lovely rural setting. A visit was arranged and we knew at once that our two dogs would have a really lovely time, our old dog was in doggy heaven! We were very pleased that they did not have to go into kennels as our young dog gets very bored and she loved the walks on the moors. Our old dog was on medication for a slight infection and we knew he would be taken care of. On collecting our dogs there was no sign of distress and we could tell they had enjoyed their holiday too! We can thoroughly recommend Devon Dog Boarding as a first choice before even considering kennels.”

Jayne and Adrian, Exeter, September 2012

Shelby on holiday with Devon Dog Boarding“The care given to our dog Shelby was excellent. Our dog was well looked after, spoilt even. She had lots of long walks, played with other dogs and had lots of cuddles with Debs and Andrew. When we collected Shelby she was well fed, happy and seemed sad to leave.Whilst on holiday we had emails regarding her welfare and photos showing what a fun time she was having. Shelby had her own holiday while we were away, and I’m happy we have now found somewhere to leave Shelby in future when we need to go away.”

Sarah, North Tawton, August 2012

Bentley on holiday with Devon Dog Boarding“When I found out that we had a family holiday coming up I thought “Uh-oh! Who is going to look after me?”. Thank goodness my Mum found Devon Dog Boarding. I went to see my holiday family for a short visit and a sniff around just to make sure they liked me and I liked them and after all agreeing that it was going to be fun we booked the dates. I had a huge garden and meadow to run around in, and even ponds to swim in to cool me down (as it was a very hot weekend). My holiday family gave me lots of cuddles and played with me and even knew how I liked my dinner!  They even gave me a teddy to take home with me to remind me of them. I can’t WAIT until there’s another holiday because I won’t mind going back at all”

Bentley Steve Southcott Smith, July 2012

Ollie - Dog boarding in Exeter with Devon Dob Boarding“I am delighted with the service from Devon Dog Boarding. I needed B&B for our rescue boy Ollie and Devon Dog Boarding could not have been more helpful. Ollie’s pet sitter was delightful and a real animal lover. We chatted like old friends and she even let Ollie sleep on her bed!! I would have no hesitation in using your services again. Thank you for priceless peace of mind.”

Jan, Exeter, June 2012

Labrador Hapsy on holiday with Devon Dog Boarding“We utterly recommend Devon Dog Boarding. Our golden Labrador, Hapsy, absolutely loves his boarding family. When we arrive he makes his excited whine and when we pick him up he doesn’t exactly rush to leave! He loves staying with Angela and John and we can relax knowing he is really being looked after and loved (with plenty of great walks!). Anna runs a superb service with Devon Dog Boarding and should be your only stop for your pet.”

Michael and Natalie, Exeter, May 2012

Jasper on holiday with devon dog boarding“Jasper was just 5 months old when we first left him with one of Devon Dog Boardings host families. We were very worried about him as he was so young. But we needn’t have been, we could tell he had had a fantastic time as he looked so healthy and full of energy when we picked him up! Since then we have used DDB on numerous occasions, Jasper is always very excited when we drop him off with his host family and clearly has a great time. We would highly recommend DDB, they treated our dog as part of the family, are sensitive, flexible and willing to go that extra mile! We can go on holiday, relax, and know that he is happy and safe. Thank you!”

The Dolan Family, Exeter, April 2012

“I have always let my owners know that Devon Dog Boarding is the only holiday destination for me. Any chance of a break, short or long, and I am THERE!”

Dixie, Exmouth, March 2012

“As is the case for most families with four legged members, we genuinely would be lost with out the shadow we lovingly refer to as Alfie. Alfie accompanies us on most of our adventures but on the occasion when it would be in his best interest not to, we have no reservations about packing his bag for him to go to his ‘second home’ with Devon Dog Boarding. I have never personally agreed with kennels and wouldn’t be able to relax on a foreign holiday knowing Alf wasn’t completely happy. Thankfully since we discovered DDB I haven’t had to worry. I have to say the service, attention to detail and caring nature towards him makes life so much easier. Alfie is the first dog to let you know when he’s not happy but his little tail almost wags off when we pull into the lane where he normally stays. There is no substitute for the peace of mind that using Devon Dog Boarding gives us.”

Debs, North Devon, March 2012

“It is such a relief to know when we go away that Hatty and Hildy are being so well looked after.  They get so excited when Anna appears at the door, and ready to rush off  leaping into her car with scarcely a backward glance at us.  At the end of their ‘holiday’, both dogs look so happy and healthy and settle down again at home right away.  Clearly, they had a great time – proper walks and lots of love.  Why put your dogs in a kennel (horrible) when they can go to Devon Dog Boarding?”

Susan and Stephen, St Leonards Exeter, February 2012

“I think that the best recommendation I can give Devon Dog Boarding is the reaction of my Labradoodle Indy when any of the team come to take him for holiday. He is just beside himself with excitement and does his best to get into their van himself, without so much as a backward glance at us, his family! I would recommend Devon Dog Boarding 100% and without any reservation. We have to go away a lot, for work and personal reasons, often at short notice and they have been a lifesaver.”

Susannah, Pinhoe, February 2012

“None of our dogs have EVER seen the inside of a kennel! When we go on holiday or take business trips, they go to their ‘home away from home‘, where they’re looked after as part of the family plus…have great walks, too! They love going on THEIR breaks…which allows us to relax and enjoy going on ours! We wholeheartedly recommend Devon Dog Boarding.”

Anthony & Julie McGloin, January 2012
